Parkview COVID-19 Posting #14
Friday, March 27, 2020
Hello Parkview members and readers,
Today I thought I’d send something different. I subscribed to this weekly newsletter about gardening – it is free – and it regularly sends me photos of beautiful gardens, tips about gardening, and although I’m not a great gardener, it lifts my soul! It brings me cheer with its colour, the amazing variety of flowers, and pictures of stunning garden layouts and arrangements. It reminds me of God’s creation with all its beauty. The Garden of Eden must have been incredibly awesome and beautiful!
I find that when I get out into nature, it feeds my soul, calms me, and I feel in communion with the earth. Does this happen to you, too?
So I send you the link to Linda at Garden Design. Check it out.
And in the latest posting, she offers tips for things to do with kids outdoors! We grandparents can join in! It gives us all ideas to keep busy, enjoy nature, enjoy God’s wonderful world, and be active in all God’s beauty!
Please keep in touch with each other, phone each other, and your neighbour, and especially keep in touch with our church folk who don’t have a computer and are not online. That would be a wonderful help. Thanks so much.
Best wishes & blessings to all, Rev. Mary

We hear you, moms and dads with kids at home! Kick ’em out (outside, that is) and let ’em get dirty. Garden Design’s contributing editor Justine Guidry rounded up a few ideas, like the adorable bee hotel she and her daughter made (check out our Instagram to see what they used to make theirs). We hope you and your kiddos enjoy these “garden recess” activities. Please share your projects with us on Instagram with the hashtag #gardendesignkids, we’d LOVE to see them!
